Every year, beginning in 2005, I've played in Magdeburg, Germany. (Thanks to our
friend Dieter Geske, who always assists with setting up the gigs there.) The above
was taken in the summer of 2007, when we played outdoors at the city's annual
Stadtfest , an event which features various music and entertainment events on
a few different stages around town. Joel Alan Lehman is on the extreme left, in
the black hat; Nils Tuxen, who has been playing with me on my overseas gigs for
more than decade now, is on the extreme right, seated at the steel guitar; while
four members of the German band Chicken Train round out the evening's lineup.
