Since 2004, my label Wild Oats Records has been holding a
monthly Oat Songwriter Showcase at the Commodore Grille
here in Nashville. On this particular evening, we not only had
our usual excellent time, but it was the largest gathering in
one room of artists whose CDs I've produced. Seven of 'em,
to be exact. From L-R: Peter Adzima (Massachusetts); Van
Almen (Colorado); Bryon Russell (Alabama); Garry Jackson
(Canada/Nashville); Joel Alan Lehman (Nashville); me; and
Elliott Frisby (England). The seventh wasn't me -- actually, I
make the total eight --- but Gail Lloyd (Nashville), who took
the photo. There was a whole lot of talent in that room.
