Occasionally when people mention the (pretty obvious) fact
  that my hair is long, I tell 'em that not only did it used to be
  very dark -- rather than white -- but that it was much, much
  longer.  Recently, I came across this old picture, taken when
I was 24, which proves that I'm not just sayin' it.  This is as
  long as my hair ever got...  although there's probably still at
   least an inch or two that's cut off at the bottom of the photo.
