"There's
Blue"
is the kind of song that people are probably talking about when they say
that they don't like country music. It's got a bit of twang, along with a yodel-type thing. Personally, I like it a lot... it's one of my favorites of the songs that I've written, and one of a handful that I've really never gotten tired of singing live over the years. - Steve H. |
1. There's a shade of blue like
the early morning sky
And another blue / that reminds me
of you / and the color of your eyes
And there's the blue of a lazy river,
too
But the way I feel / is a whole kind
different kind of blue
chorus: Darlin', there's blue
/ and then there's blue
And I'm findin' out / what blue's
all about / since I lost you
I've known heartache before / but
this kind of hurtin' brand-new
Yeah, darlin', there's blue / and
then there's blue
2. This ain't the only broken heart
I've had
There's been one or two / but only
you / could ever make me feel so sad
And I'm runnin' out / of tears to
cry, it's true
I guess it goes to show / there's
blue / and then there's blue
chorus: Darlin', there's blue
/ and then there's blue
And I'm findin' out / what blue's
all about / since I lost you
I've known heartache before / but
this kind of hurtin' brand-new
Yeah, darlin', there's blue / and
then there's blue.
